The green fire
Flame moss got its name because of its structure. This is not in the list of undemanding moss. You can grow it in low tech aquarium environment but it will grow slowly and with dull coloration. Co2 enriched water and good fertilization is the perfect environment for this moss.
Do not forget to have good filtration system when you plan to have mosses in your aquarium.
It is necessary to have good flow of water with the help of filter or if you have bigger aquarium, use good quality wave-maker, if not then, all mosses will clog with free floating particle and it will turn into algae attraction.
In nature, mosses, specially aquatic mosses grow partially in flowing water which provides them good nutritional values. We should try to mimic the nature within our confined water box, aquarium. Never forget to reset the fertilized water column by changing water every week.
This practice is really very important when you have mosses in your aquarium otherwise, mosses will start melting because of excess nutrition. In short, water change once in a week is compulsory.
